French forward Guillaume Hoarau joins FC Sion as Matteo Tosetti.
Guillaume Hoarau remains in the Super League. The French forward continues his career at FC Sion. The Valais agreed to a one-year contract with the 36-year-old. His commitment to the Young Boys was not renewed after 6 seasons in late August.
Hoarau has played in Switzerland since 2014 and has since won three Swiss championships and a cup with the Young Boys. Since moving from Bordeaux to Bern, he has been one of the most accurate players in the Super League.
Tosetti comes from Thun
In 141 championship games, Hoarau scored 94 goals; finished the 2018/19 season as top scorer. However, recently Hoarau was repeatedly hit by injuries, for which he only made 17 appearances (2 goals) last season.
In addition, the Sion team signs Matteo Tosetti. The 28-year-old midfielder has had a contract with FC Thun since 2016. The Ticino native had previously played for YB and Lugano, among others. He played a total of 143 games in the Super League (11 goals, 52 assists).
