A 19-year-old Swiss woman is “the best voice in Germany”: Paula Dalla Corte wins the tenth season of “The Voice of Germany”.
Thurgau high school student Paula Dalla Corte has won the tenth season of “The Voice of Germany”. The 19-year-old student garnered the most votes for her final three appearances Sunday night with about 44 percent.
The talented team of singers Samu Haber and Rea Garvey won over with London Grammar’s song “Strong,” as well as in duets with their coaches (“Someone Better”) and guest star Sarah Connor (“Bye Bye”).
Dalla Corte prevailed in the pre-Christmas show on Saturday 1 shortly after midnight against Oliver Henrich, the good-humored duo Mael and Jonas, Alessandro Pola and Tosari Udayana.
The nearly four-hour live final from Berlin took place for the first time without an audience. Also, due to crown rules, candidates and coaches were not allowed to hug each other for the entire anniversary season and had to be evaluated regularly.
