In the coming days, around 100,000 doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Switzerland. The cantons are responsible for the administration. According to federal plans, vaccinations should begin on January 4.

Lucerne
December 23: Lucerne begins vaccination at four test centers. Nursing homes and hospital staff have priority. Mobile vaccination teams are outside nursing homes and vaccinate those they want. If enough doses are available, the actual vaccination will begin on January 4, 2021.
Freiburg
The canton of Friborg starts the vaccination program this week. The president of the Council of State, Anne-Claude Demierre, told RTS that Freiburg would begin vaccinations in nursing homes and nursing homes “immediately”. The canton was able to order 3,000 doses of vaccine.
Basel city
