On Wednesday morning a sheep farmer from Niederweningen was presented with an unpleasant and unusual sight for the canton of Zurich. An animal had killed five sheep in its pasture. It could be a wolf or a sneaky dog. That has yet to be clarified. “The bite marks do not allow a definitive conclusion,” says the building management. Experts from the cantonal police, the Zurich Forensic Institute and the cantonal hunting and fishing administration had secured the tracks at the site and taken DNA samples. The first results can be expected in about a month.
