A petition to stop the coronavirus lockdown has already collected around 87,000 signatures. This was announced by the young self-employed entrepreneur and initiator of the petition Leroy Bächtold (25) on Monday night. Bächtold is a member of the board of directors of the Jungfreisinnige city of Zurich.
The “Lockdown Stop” petition was entering the final phase, he said. Thanks to the donations, posters and advertising are also currently being placed on social media, Bächtold explained. The goal, according to the campaign’s website, is “100,000 signatories, the same as for a popular federal initiative.”
Thanks to the approximately 18,000 francs donated by 169 donors, the communiqué has reached the 13,000 youngest signatories through professional campaigns. On top of that, the amount of support and positive feedback his initiative has received is simply overwhelming, von Bächtold said. (SDA / kes)
