London certifies Roche antibody tests as highly accurate
Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche plans to sell its antibody tests in the UK after a successful review by Public Health England (PHE). PHE conducted an independent evaluation of the antibody test last week and found that the Roche test was 100 percent accurate, according to a Roche statement.
“This is a very positive development because such a highly specific antibody test is a very reliable marker of past infections,” said John Newton, coordinator of the British coronavirus testing program.

If you want to buy cheap, you must be patient until June 15
Relief in the border regions is excellent: from June 15, people can travel back and forth between Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland without restrictions. Government councilor Christian Amsler in Schaffhausen says: “It is drastic when the family can no longer be visited.”
Across the border, Swiss shopping tourists are looking forward to it. Lörrach Mayor Jörg Lutz says: “Of course, our retailers lack Swiss buyers.” But that is not the main problem for him when opening the border.

WHO: Coronavirus may never go away
Michael Ryan, emergency coordinator for the World Health Organization (WHO), is skeptical that the new coronavirus can still be removed after its rapid spread around the world. “This virus can become a household in the population, it will never go away,” Ryan said. HIV, the virus that triggers immunodeficiency disease, has never disappeared again: “We have to be realistic.”
There is a small chance of eradicating the new Sars-CoV-2 virus. To do this, a highly effective vaccine had to be found.

Sanofi plans to offer future vaccines to everyone, but EE. USA It has priority
The French pharmaceutical company Sanofi claims to offer everyone a future coronavirus vaccine. “The Covid-19 vaccine will be available to all citizens, regardless of nationality,” said CEO Paul Hudson of Sanofi France.
Hudson also made it clear that the United States had priority over the vaccine, the Bloomberg news agency reported on its website. The United States was the first to support the investigation. Therefore, the United States government “has the right to make the largest advance order,” the agency quoted the Sanofi chief as saying. The two pharmaceutical companies Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline had already announced in April that they wanted to work together on a vaccine against the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Nicaragua releases 2,800 prisoners, officially not by Corona
The Nicaraguan government has released more than 2,800 prisoners from house arrest. The prisoners were handed over to their families on the occasion of Nicaraguan mothers’ month and “outside of Christianity,” the Central American country’s government said on Wednesday. The Covid 19 pandemic was not mentioned. Those released included elderly people with chronic complaints and 88 women. There was no further information on the prisoners.
Opposition officials and the State Department’s Human Rights Office recently called on the Nicaraguan government to release political prisoners due to the crown pandemic. The virus abounds in the country’s prisons. Officially, only 25 infections with the new corona virus and eight deaths have been confirmed in Nicaragua. However, the true numbers are reported to be much higher.

Trump has little faith in Fauci’s warnings, and wants to open schools
United States President Donald Trump believes that warnings by health expert and adviser Anthony Fauci about the risks of reopening the economy too quickly are unacceptable. “For me it is not an acceptable solution,” Trump told reporters at the White House. I was surprised by Fauci’s sight.
The head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) had previously testified before the Senate Health Committee that the state should focus on proven measures and restrictions until a vaccine is available to slow the spread of the virus.
Trump also emphasized that it is important that schools and universities can be reopened for lessons in the fall. The next school year should start as planned, especially since the corona virus has “very little effect” on younger people, Trump said.
