New crown measures

Walter Tobler, president of Gastro St. Gallen, feels like a pawn: only three percent of infections occur in the restaurant sector, according to a document from the Federal Office of Public Health that circulated in the National Council. Appenzell Ausserrhoden wants to consistently implement the measures decided by the federal government: the cantons of St. Gallen and Thurgau are postponed until tomorrow.

The contagions are stable at a very high level or continue to increase: all the cantons have now agreed that stricter measures are needed in the fight against the pandemic. This was stated at the federal crown press conference: from December 22 to January 22, restaurants and bars will be closed, as well as museums and libraries, sports facilities and facilities, zoos and botanical gardens. Tighter capacity restrictions will be introduced in stores: they will remain closed from 7pm and on Sundays and holidays.
