On New Year’s Eve around 4 am, a fire broke out in the area of a forest park in Sissach. No person was injured, according to the Basel police. It is the playground of the Waldelfe forest playgroup in Sissach, a Telebasel reporter confirmed.
The corresponding report was received on Friday morning at 3:54 am at the Basel-Landschaft police operations control center. When emergency services arrived at the scene of the fire, the fire had already spread throughout the entire forest yard area.
