On Wednesday morning, shortly after 6:30 am, a 38-year-old driver in Mörschwil SG caused an accident. The man was traveling from St. Gallen in the direction of Goldach when he reached the opposite lane shortly before a construction site. According to their own statements, the reason for this is micro-sleep, as the police of the canton of St. Gallen wrote in a message.

In the opposite lane, the driver collided with a barrier and a ToiToi, then the car hit an excavation where it overturned. Eventually he stopped at an exposed gas pipe. The man was able to exit the vehicle independently and unharmed.
