The arrogance that will cost SC Bern millions

Because the SCB has sold more season tickets than any other club. 10,500 subscribers and VIP box users transferred almost 10 million francs in summer. But nobody can enter the stadium. If it stays that way, that means that, in theory, the SCB has to give back almost $ 10 million by the end of the season. It would be the end of the largest hockey company in Switzerland as a top club.
Where is the pride?
The SCB has a loyal, devoted, patient, yes, forgiving fan base. The Bernese will not disappoint the SCB. What does the SCB want in sporting terms?

But for that you need a plan, a strategy, an idea, a vision and a lot, a lot of competition. And all this is no longer available in sufficient quantities. Rebuilding with young players requires, first of all, the courage to constantly bet on young players and not give them an ice age when controversies arise or their agents intervene.
To further develop young players, you need a coach who is familiar with our mentality, who is able to train a clear tactical concept, who has the corresponding pedagogical and technical hockey training, who has a lot of experience and a strong personality. exuding a natural authority (= charisma). So you can push seasoned lead wolves out of your comfort zone too. Coaching has never been more important to SCB than in this delicate 2020/21 transition season, which also offers a unique opportunity for sports renewal in special circumstances. Saving money with the coach is fatal in this situation.
When money is tight, exploration becomes even more important. So that every franc is invested correctly. In no other club in Switzerland is the scout in such a deplorable state as in the SCB. Here’s just one example that fits well (I don’t want to argue by listing all the fake transfers).

At Langnau, Alfred Bohren has created one of the best scouting departments in the league. The Langnauer brought Jules Sturny (24) from Visp for less than 100,000 francs.
