Felix Wüst does not want to comment on the content on demand. “I am already clear about where this anonymous letter comes from, but it cannot be proven.” If it is a mud fight, then there are many things that he or his attorney could present.
The situation affects health
Wüst admits that the situation is causing him health problems. “If you can’t sleep anymore and you keep studying these things, then it’s time to ask yourself if what you’re doing is really the right thing to do.” You don’t want to expose yourself to this situation anymore. “I do not want to initiate further discussion or speculation about the inconsistencies that have arisen in making additional statements. That is not in the interest of the municipality of Thal either. ”
Represent the interest of the community until the end of September
Due to the crown pandemic, the citizens’ meeting in Thal had to be canceled again and a vote had to be held instead. “Unfortunately, this does not simplify contact with the population, which I very much regret,” writes Felix Wüst in his message, thus invalidating the accusation of not wanting to lead the citizen assembly. On the contrary, this lack of contact with the population is one of the reasons for his resignation.
Felix Wüst guarantees that he will continue to defend and represent the interests of the community until he leaves in the fall. With the orderly and deliberately chosen resignation, there is the possibility of careful choice of successor. The president of Nochgemein emphasizes: “I thank the people of the Thal community for their trust and understanding for my passage.”
City Council Announces Joint Statement
Thaler’s local councilors do not want to comment individually on the mayor’s accusation that cooperation in the local council has become increasingly difficult. Rather, they refer to a jointly written press release. This will probably only be sent out this Wednesday morning because some of the councilors are on vacation and therefore communication is difficult.
780 votes went to Felix Wüst in November 2019, who meanwhile Werner Reifler received 770. The election campaign next fall promises to be exciting.
