With US Open finalist Alexander Zverev and French Open semi-finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas, two other players have qualified for the ATP Finals in London. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Daniil Medvedev had already secured their ticket to the top 8 tournament. Nadal left his participation open after his triumph at the French Open due to the crisis of the crown. The final will take place for the last time in London from November 15-22. Due to the corona pandemic, no spectators will be admitted to the tournament this year.
Murray new to ATP Players Council
After the resignation of the president of the ATP Players Council, Novak Djokovic, who wants to found a new players association for tennis professionals, the ATP announced four new members to the Players Council on Monday. Andy Murray from Scotland, Félix Auger-Aliassime from Canada, Jérémy Chardy from France and John Millman from Australia are new members of the council. Corona-Fall in Saint Petersburg
An unidentified tennis professional tested positive for the corona virus at the ATP tournament in St. Petersburg. The player was eliminated from the field of participants, but currently has no symptoms and is in quarantine, the ATP announced this Monday. Contact follow-up is still ongoing. The tournament starts this Monday, the final will be played on Sunday. With Stan Wawrinka there is also a Swiss on duty.
