Swisscom breakdown paralyzes landlines and mobile phones across Switzerland

On Friday morning, a breakdown paralyzed Swisscom’s fixed and mobile networks across Switzerland. At lunchtime, the fault was fixed and everything was back to normal.

The breakdown was due to an erroneous entry in a central company database, Swisscom media service reported at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.

This caused problems in the transmission of calls from the fixed network to the cellular network. In the afternoon, Swisscom searched for the cause of the wrong entry. The breakdown occurred at 10.15 am At 12:05 pm it was fixed.
