Carlos Bernegger will succeed Marc Schneider as FC Thun coach. The 51-year-old Swiss-Argentine was an assistant coach at FC Basel with Marcel Koller. Before that, he was the head coach of the Super League at GC and Lucerna. Bernegger will sign a contract in the Bernese Oberland until the summer of 2022, as the Challenge League club announced on Sunday. Next Friday, Bernegger will be on the sidelines for the first time in the away game at Chiasso.
