Sweden defeats Croatia – France qualifies for the finals – Sport

In the duel between the European champion Portugal and the world champion France in Group 3 of the highest level of the Nations League, the offensive artists such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann or Anthony Martial did not provoke the exclamation points. Instead, French midfielder Ngolo Kanté decided the match at Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz for the guests.

Kanté took advantage of a rebound from Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio in the 54th minute. Adrien Rabiot caused this with a strong finish.

In the second group match, Sweden held the lead over the World Cup finalists Croatia in the relegation match in Stockholm. Before the break, the Scandinavians took the lead thanks to Dejan Kulusevski (36th) and Marcus Danielsson (45th + 2). Danielsson became the unfortunate player 9 minutes before the end of the game: he put Croatia back into the game with an own goal. The Croats around Luka Modric did not draw and Sweden won 2-1.
