SVP-Maurer in SP-Badran: “We almost loved each other a little”
It was a noisy week at the Federal Council. The Bundesplatz was occupied by climate strikers, which caused some MPs to turn red: Andreas Glarner (SVP / AG) addressed Sibel Arslan (BastA / BS) with “Arschlan”, which Jacqueline Badran (SP / ZH) he said about “de huere fucking Glarner”, while Ronald Rino Büchel (SVP / SG) described the climate strikers as “morons”.
What was somewhat forgotten due to the heated start to the week: Swiss federal politicians generally maintain extremely peaceful treatment with each other.
So currently Federal Councilor Ueli Maurer, who on Thursday during the debate on the 99 percent initiative Juso quickly put down some boos against the SP National Councilor, Badran: “In this case, no abuse is required, we get along very well, we almost love each other a little.”
The finance minister went on to say that they have different ideological points of view. “We come from a different corner, but we can also live with different points of view.” Sometimes they worked as an elderly couple.

At the end of the day, Maurer reminded Parliament: “They can still get along, even if they have a different starting point.” (mlu)
