According to the latest findings of the St. Gallen police, a 22-year-old Swiss entered a residential building. As a result, he gained access to an apartment and beat a 46-year-old woman there with a blunt-edged object in an extremely brutal manner.

The 46-year-old woman was taken to St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital with the most serious head injuries, but where she died as a result of a severe traumatic brain injury.
The circumstances of how this event occurred and what the alleged perpetrator’s motive was are the subject of further investigation. At this point, both the choice of home and the victim seem completely random.
There are indications that the alleged perpetrator had psychological problems.
