New shows, more live ice hockey: this season’s SRF reports
Swiss television SRF is expanding its reporting on national football and ice hockey events. Among other things, six National League qualifying games will now be broadcast live.
SRF relies primarily on full match day recaps. On Saturday night, the championship games of the two major leagues will be summarized in the “sportheute” program, which will run for the first time this Saturday and which will also include other sports news.
“Super League – Goool” will follow the live broadcast of the Super League match on Sunday. The magazine runs for 55 minutes and now regularly reports on Axa’s Women’s Super League, Challenge League and Switzerland in the Bundesliga. This is followed by the “sports scene” in the usual length.
For exclusive ice hockey coverage, “powerplay” replaces the previous “eishockey aktuell” program. The new format shows all the goals of the afternoon from Monday to Friday with two or more games in the National League. Champions Hockey League games are also grouped together.
SRF is expanding the range of live games to include six National League qualifying games. ZSC Lions – Friborg-Gottéron will start on Friday, October 2. In the playoffs, SRF will broadcast as before: in the quarterfinals, two games per round live, then one game per round. (abu / sda)
