When will the PS5 be released?

According to Sony, pre-sales will begin “at select retailers” on Thursday, September 17, 2020. In Switzerland, too, they can be pre-ordered from major online retailers.
The race on the PS5 is apparently huge. At Digitec, Interdiscount and WOG, the console sold out after a few hours: “Unfortunately, the first allocation for the launch is already sold out. All pre-orders with an order date of September 17, 2020 will be informed by email on September 18, 2020 if their order will be included in the first delivery, ”Digitec writes.

What is known about the technology?
Sony already revealed specific technical data for the Playstation 5 in March. Based on available specs, the PS5 is roughly on par with Microsoft’s new Xbox Series X and stronger than the Xbox Series S, which is also cheaper.
