After “Hase” Sonja Zietlow was unmasked in the finale of “Masked Singer,” the show is now dedicated to overtime. Now two television channels are biting, without any disguise and with an open visor.
The Pro7 show “Masked Singer” is on stage, Tom Beck won the singing competition, the audience was once again excited, everything was fine, you might think.
Wouldn’t there be moderator Sonja Zietlow, who had a surprisingly good sound underneath the rabbit costume? It means trouble in paradise, with two television channels zigzagging as protagonists.
Zickenkrieg the channel via Twitter
The choice of weapons is clear: social networks, more precisely, Twitter. It all started with the unmasking of Sonja Zietlow. He had just passed the screen when Pro7 posted on Twitter: “RTL will surely cheer up. Colleagues always watch ‘celebrities under palm trees’ on Wednesdays.”
A sweet statement that RTL did not want to leave. The station’s squeaky retort: ”Of course, we’ll tune in if it has a functional reality format. We’ve been doing it long enough.” The question remains: what can you do?
The show almost ended on RTL
There is an undertone of Zoff. In 2019, Pro7 and RTL fought for the rights to “The Masked Singer”. The success of the international show, of course, would also have looked good on RTL. In the end, Pro7 received the contract and celebrated a huge success with the mix of vocal show and costume party.
A development that RTL still seems to be concerned about. The station spoiled Bastian Yotta about ten days ago as the winner of “Celebrities under Palms”. The reality format runs on channel Sat.1, but since Pro7 belongs to the ProSiebenSat.1 media group.
Sonja Zietlow is considered an “RTL” face, and may have surprised some with her appearance. She herself remains calm and comments in an interview with “Bild”: “I generally work for different stations. Of course, now I could not coordinate ‘Masked singer’ directly with RTL, but that is not a problem.” After all, it was his job to appear on television: “I’m always happy to receive inquiries from all channels. I also don’t have an exclusive contract.”
