  Tram and bus traffic in Zurich stopped

  Due to heavy snowfall, all tram and bus services in Zurich were suspended in the city and in the Limmat Valley. This is communicated by the Zurich Transport Authority VBZ in a message.

  Many accidents and road closures

  On the northern side of the Alps, winter road conditions are still to be expected. In the afternoon the snowfall subsides. Branches and trees can break under heavy snow load and endanger roads and sidewalks.
