A bread roll from the backpack instead of “Schnipo” in the restaurant and coffee from the thermos instead of the Schoggi Mélange, that’s what many guests in Graubünden did this Saturday.

But it was “special”, without the must-visit pub at the edge of the runway, says Roger Sutter of Näfels in the canton of Glarus. He also arrived with supplies in his backpack. After all, you weren’t completely alone on the mountain. Because apparently some restaurants have already adapted to the new conditions: “Once upstairs there was a coffee to go.”
For some track-goers, the confinement even gave their imagination an extra boost: “We also met a group that made their own raclette,” Sutter continues. “We were a little pale with our sandwiches,” he laughs.
Pickling lock remains for at least two weeks
The conclusion on day 1 of the new Graubünden lockdown measures is almost entirely positive for winter sports visitors. With a bit of improv, everyone really dominated the day on the slopes without a detour to the mountain restaurant.
