Last week, the Lucerne police, together with the cantonal industrial and commercial supervisory authority and the Amigra, carried out a construction site inspection in the city of Lucerne and Entlebuch. Six people were arrested because they did not have valid work permits.
On Wednesday 2 September 2020, the Lucerne Police, together with the Cantonal Industrial and Commercial Inspectorate and the Lucerne Canton Migration Office (Amigra), inspected two construction sites, namely in the city of Lucerne and in Entlebuch. Several people working on construction sites were screened.
A total of six people, all of whom worked as iron cloaks, were unable to present a valid work permit. He was arrested by the police. Two identified themselves with falsified identity documents. Five of these six people were expelled from Switzerland by Amigra and banned from the entire Schengen area for two to three years. One person was also detained for deportation.
The six men from Iran, Serbia and Kosovo, aged between 20 and 38, were employees of companies based in Switzerland. Its general directors are prosecuted for various violations of the Aliens and Integration Law (AIG). Investigations are being conducted by prosecutors for Lucerne and Sursee.
