Sinovac vaccine: efficacy up to 90 percent

The corona vaccine from Biontech and Pfizer is used in Switzerland; according to studies, it is 90 percent effective. The Moderna vaccine, which is already used in the United States, goes as high as 95 percent. And now, just in time for Christmas, we are also getting good news from China.

The corona vaccine CoronaVac, developed by the Chinese biotechnology company Sinovac, has shown an effectiveness of between 50 and 90 percent in tests with around 13,000 volunteers in Brazil. That’s what a representative of the health authority in Sao Paulo said. The state butantane institute, which produces the product as a partner of Sinovac in Brazil, plans to publish the exact results of the study no later than January 7.
