Shortly before the Sils im Domleschg train station, there was an accident on Monday evening: a composition of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) thunders from Tiefencastel in several stone blocks that are on the tracks.
As a result of the collision, the RhB locomotive and two passenger cars jump off the rails, thunder against a contact line mast and only then stop.
Train conductor in hospital, evacuated passengers
According to the Bündner police, the accident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. After falling off a rock, several hundred kilograms of stone had fallen onto the rails.
In the accident, the train conductor was slightly injured and had to be taken to Thusis hospital. A train attendant, a catering employee, as well as the 27 passengers and two dogs were evacuated unharmed by emergency services.
The exact circumstances of the accident are now being investigated. (cat)
