Bern – Davos 1: 2
The game to read on the ticker!
The game: Fabrice Herzog caused red heads in the first game between Bern and Davos on Sunday (5: 1). The HCD striker checked Bern’s Eric Blum wrong on the head. He suffered a concussion, broke his nose and injured his shoulder. “Unnecessary and primitive,” Bern’s Vincent Praplan summed it up and hinted that Herzog wanted to hurt Blum.

In the second duel on Monday, the culprit is not even there. As a precautionary measure, the sole judge suspended him for two games. There are no unpleasant actions. But you can still hear strong expressions. They mostly relate to Bern’s inadequate opportunity evaluation.
The home team left three top-level players in the first quarter of an hour. Jesper Olofsson, who does so many things well, but only hits once (91 shots, 2 hits) misses twice. First, he misses the mark correctly when HCD goalkeeper Sandro Aeschlimann has already been beaten. Then the Swede can leave only seven minutes later, but he forgives again.
Davos is completely different: Samuel Guerra caught SCB goalkeeper Tomi Karhunen on the hand side. And Aaron Palushaj hits after a brilliant solo. Only 84 seconds before the end shortens the SCB, which cannot win even for 118 seconds of double majority. Too late.
Speaking of Karhunen: Recently there were rumors that after Ted Brithén the goalkeeper could also leave the SCB for the season. The Finn had an offer from Sweden. Sports director Florence Schelling did not want to put any obstacles in Karhunen’s path, looked for alternatives and also called Gilles Senn. But since no solution could be found, Karhunen was not given clearance.
But there is a new foreigner for the SCB: Canadian striker Cory Conacher (31) returns from Lausanne to the team with which he won the 2016 championship. The Bernese, who has kept in touch with the little goalkeeper in recent years, will take over his contract until 2023. He scored 9 goals and 5 assists in 21 games for Vaudois, and was also redundant on several occasions.
Bad news for Davos too: Teemu Turunen tested positive for Covid-19 after the four-country tournament in Malmö and must be quarantined in Sweden. (ARKANSAS)
The best: Aaron Palushaj. (Davos). Superb solo from the HCD striker.
The plum: Jesper Olofsson (SCB). Still a possibility of death.
Tore: 22. War (Egli, Heinen) 0: 1. Palushaj (Ambühl, Barandun) 0: 2. 59. Moser (Zryd) 1: 2.
ZSC Lions – Servette 3: 4 nV
The game to read on the ticker!
The game: Besides ice cream, a lot is happening at Servette: President Laurent Strawson and board members Jacques Apothéloz and Paul Neury have resigned effective immediately after three years in office. Until a new board is formed, the “Fondation 1890”, which owns the club’s shares, has appointed its president Didier Fischer, former president of the Servette footballers, as acting boss. The foundation, supported by Rolex among others, saved Servette from ruin in 2018.
The team is not impressed by the change in leadership. The Genevans prove they are a superior team to be reckoned with. In classy play, they set the pace and overwhelm the ZSC Lions multiple times with gameplay of speed and dynamics.
But the Zurich-based company can make up for three times a guided tour in Geneva: first through Willy Riedi (22), who with his long hair and number 68 is reminiscent of Czech legend Jaromir Jagr (born Monday 49) and scored his first goal of the season. Then by Denis Hollenstein, who dusts off a brilliant volley. And in the final section of Dominik Diem.
As Noah Rod appealed to vigilante justice in the final phase after Justin Sigrist fouled Daniel Winnik and thus destroys a double top number in Geneva, the fourth game of the season will also go into extra time. For the third time, victory goes to Servette: defender Henrik Tömmernes scores. (Mr)
The best: Eric Fehr (Servette). Luchst alone from Andrighetto before the 1: 0 puck, hit 2: 1 and save in the final phase against Raphael Prassl.
The plum: Sven Andrighetto (ZSC Lions). He blew the puck in the power play and thus put Winnik’s shorthander into debt. And he is too late in extra time against Tömmernes.
Tore: 20. Winnik (Fehr / SH) 0: 1. 22. Riedi (Pedretti, P. Baltisberger) 1: 1. 26. Fehr (Jacquemet) 1: 2. 30. Hollenstein (Andrighetto, Geering) 2: 2. 33. Moy (Karrer, Winnik / PP) 2: 3. 56. Diem (Prassl, Riedi) 3: 3. 63. Tömmernes (Omark, Winnik) 3: 4.
Zug – Lugano 3: 2 nV
The game to read on the ticker!
The game: This time it’s just a 2-0 lead that Zug’s team gives up again. And not 4-0 like in the last two weeks on two occasions (against Biel and Zurich).
But Zug is also setting the tone against Lugano. And win the first two goals in a rather unknown way: very dirty in front of the Schlegel de Lugano goal. Klingberg strangled the 1-0 after Shore and Stadler tried it in the slot. Shore pushes the 2-0 over the line so late that the umpires look at the goal again on replay, but, like on ice, they’re good too.
Lugano compensates with a Bödker deflector and a rebound from Arcobello on the power play.
Because Klingberg eats an opposing stick twice in the final minutes and bloods his lip, the EVZ has a chance to score the winning goal in the power play but misses the chances. Only in overtime do the Zugers win.
Among the “spectators”: Zug goalkeeper Hofmann injured his upper body, which is out for six weeks. And the future forward of EVZ from Lugano, Suri, for whom the game ends after less than ten minutes with a playing time penalty. (NEVADA)
The best: Klingberg (train). A tough workhorse. He works the groove, gets hit by the puck, twice by high sticks, bleeds, and still makes the decision.
The plum: Chiesa (Lugano). He always exaggerates in his actions.
Tore: 12. Klingberg (Shore) 1: 0. 33. Thorell 2: 0. 34. Bödker (Wellinger, Heed) 2: 1. 37. Arcobello (Fazzini / PP) 2: 2. 62. Shore (Klingberg) 3: 2 .
