Lingerie maker Surse is looking for a new CEO. Current boss Reiner Pichler has announced his resignation, but will remain in office until the successor has been resolved.
(game / mimicry) Reiner Pichler resigns from his position as CEO of Grupo de Calida. In the press release from the Sursee-based company, Pichler’s decision is justified as follows: “He will take on new tasks that will allow him greater flexibility in structuring his work and will no longer require a 100% presence” . As you can hear from his surroundings, the 58-year-old wants to focus more on board membership in the future.
The search for a successor has already begun. Reiner Pichler will continue to serve until a suitable successor is appointed. Born in Munich, he took office from Felix Sulzberger on April 1, 2016.
“We very much regret Reiner Pichler’s decision,” Chairman of the Board of Directors Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard said in the message. “He has led the group very successfully for the last four and a half years. Reiner Pichler has made a valuable contribution to ensuring the future of the Calida Group with continued growth, the acceleration of digitization and especially the e-commerce business, as well as the focus of the group with the sale of the Eider and Oxbow brands ”, he said Hoejsgaard.
In recent years, Pichler has expanded the laundry manufacturer’s online sales channel and recently sold brands that no longer fit the portfolio. In the first half of the year, the online business of the entire group grew by almost 60 percent and the share of sales by 22.5 percent (previous year 12.2%) was well above the average of the market. Overall, however, the Calida Group recently suffered from the crown crisis: Group sales fell 18.8 percent to 146.2 million francs in the first half of the year. The end result was a net loss of 9.8 million. Analysts had expected significantly worse figures. The competition also made it worse.
Calida employs about 300 people in Sursee, and there are 500 throughout Switzerland.
