On Saturday 5 September 2020, the Bern canton police carried out a speed check on Grimselpassstrasse near Guttannen. Shortly before 2:50 pm, a group of motorcycles passed through the checkpoint. One of the motorcycles circulated at 144 instead of the 80 km / h allowed there, after deducting the legal tolerance. The other three motorcycles were also measured with excessive speeds. The Italian motorcycle group was stopped by the Valais canton police shortly after the measurement in the Valais canton.
The 52-year-old driver of the motorcycle, which measures 144 km / h, must answer to the judiciary in accordance with the legal provisions on speeding offenses. The other motorcycles were measured at speeds between 131 and 140 km / h after discounting the legal tolerance.
