The Councilor of State of Geneva, Pierre Maudet (42), temporarily loses responsibility for economic development. The cantonal government decided on the basis of an external interim report accusing Maudet of organizational and managerial deficiencies. The government announced Wednesday.

“This immediate action was taken in view of the seriousness of the accusations by the external expert,” the president of the Council of State, Anne Emery-Torracinta, told the media on Wednesday. It is the task of the executive, who is also the employer, to ensure the protection of the health of all employees.
