As the Greens in Basel-Stadt report, they regret this decision. Elisabeth Ackermann is the victim of a public campaign. The party can understand that Elisabeth Ackermann no longer wants to expose herself to pressure. The Basel-Stadt Greens will decide how to proceed at their general meeting.

FDP continues to trust

The decision is in the canton’s interest because “it offers an opportunity for a fresh start in the presidential department, which is urgently needed.”
LDP: “Nothing will change for us”
The president of the PLD, Patricia von Falkenstein, does not worry either: “Nothing will change for us.” You see “no candidate everywhere” who is better known or more suitable than Ackermann and therefore could represent a danger from a bourgeois perspective.
