These are strange words from the niece of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden (1957-2011). Noor bin Ladin (33) warns of a “second September 11” if Joe Biden is elected president. The relative of America’s former public enemy number one put President Trump in the mood in an interview with the New York Post.
Noor bin Ladin claims that the terrorist organization has spread under the Obama administration. “Trump has shown that he protects the United States and us from foreign threats by eliminating terrorists in the bud before they have a chance to strike,” says the 33-year-old.
“I was so devastated”
Noor bin Ladin recalls the suffering of the terrorist attacks of the past: “They shook us to the core.” Radical Islam has completely infiltrated society. “In the United States, it is very worrying that the left has fully allied itself with people who share this ideology.”
Bin Ladin was just 14 years old when his uncle carried out the attack on the World Trade Center towers in New York on September 11, 2001. “I was so devastated,” recalls Noor. “Since I was three years old, my mother and I have flown to the United States several times a year. I saw America as my second home. “
Grew up partially in Switzerland
Noor bin Ladin’s father, Yeslam bin Ladin, is a businessman in Geneva and the older half brother of Osama bin Laden. His mother Carmen Dufour (66) is Swiss. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, the mother drew much attention with accounts of her life in the Bin Laden family.
Dufour and Yeslam had separated in 1988; Noor grew up together with her two sisters Wafah and Najia partly in Switzerland. They weren’t raised religiously. “My life would have been very different if I had grown up in Saudi Arabia,” said Noor bin Ladin. “I really grew up with this deep appreciation for freedom and basic individual rights.”
Despite her Swiss upbringing, Noor bin Ladin has always considered herself “an American at heart.” At the age of 12, an American flag hung in her nursery. The vacation of your dreams: a motorhome trip through America. (hac)
