The number of cases is increasing, our neighbors are tightening the measures, but in Switzerland, well-known voices are suddenly calling for relief again. What’s behind it?

The climb just continues. 4,573 corona cases were reported to the Federal Office of Public Health over the weekend. A week ago it was 3,643, two weeks ago 3,170. If this trend continues, exceeded a critical value shortly after Easter: 350 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in two weeks.

The Federal Council has put into play a 14-day incidence out of 350 as one of several criteria to return to the more stringent crown measures. You want to discuss this at your next meeting on April 14th.

In many European countries, measures are currently tightening due to the increasing number of cases. In Switzerland, however, two prominent voices are now asking people to refrain from doing so and instead examine easing. Both are not part of the typical opening turbos.
