Thomas Markle (76), the father of Duchess Meghan (39), wants, again, to unpack. He asks talk show host Oprah Winfrey (67) for an interview, according to the British newspaper “The Sun”.
“Thomas has given Oprah a letter asking her to contact him so he can tell his side of the story,” a source told the newspaper. The request follows the disclosure interview that Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan gave to the host of the talk show.
Father stabbed Meghan in the back after interview
The couple revealed explosive details, including the accusation of racism to the British royal family. The day after Meghan’s interview, her father spoke about the revelations on British television. On ITV’s “Good Morning Britain,” however, he also recounted how desperately he was trying to talk to his daughter and reconcile with her.
Thomas Markle also admitted that they got into a fight after she got mad at him for speaking to the press before their wedding in 2018.

“The British are not racist”
To what extent another interview should benefit your relationship with your daughter is questionable. Especially in the context of Thomas Markle stabbing Meghan in the back.
After her daughter spoke through tears about racism in Britain, she told ITV: “I have a lot of respect for royalty and I don’t think the British royal family is racist. I don’t think the British are racist. “
No response from Oprah
So far it’s unclear if Oprah Winfrey is interested in an interview with Meghan’s father. The doubts are justified, especially since Thomas Markle constantly talks to the press and explains “his version of events.” (euc)
