Violence / fighting

In Gossau SG and Rapperswil-Jona there were three violent disputes. In one case in Rapperswil-Jona, two men between the ages of 21 and 25 were beaten and kicked by several men in the key area. The 21-year-old man was slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital.

Burned

In two cases, the local fire department had to move due to fires. In Schmerikon, fireworks that were allegedly discarded set a moth fire in a garbage can in Rösslihab.

In Wil SG, a fire broke out on the balcony of an apartment building on St. Gallerstrasse, which firefighters were able to quickly put out. The fireworks that landed on the balcony are the main cause of the fire in the investigation. The exact cause is now being clarified by the center of forensic competence of the police of the canton of St. Gallen. Property damage is estimated at about 10,000 francs.

Non-compliance with Corona guidelines

In one case, the cantonal emergency call center was informed that Corona guidelines were not being followed. No misconduct was found during an on-site inspection. No further reports were received in this regard.
