In the run-up to the Federal Council meeting on Wednesday, the SP magistrate personally discussed her possibilities with the other members of the body, according to a source. The company made it secret to prevent information from being leaked. On Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 p.m., Sommaruga was finally able to announce its success in front of the media: the Federal Council proposes Christian Levrat, president of the SP from 2008 to 2020, as the new president of the Swiss Post. On April 27, Levrat is likely to be elected successor to outgoing President Urs Schwaller by the General Post Assembly.
