Lausanne – Freiburg 6: 1
23 days after the last serious fight, Lausanne HC came back strong. The Vaudois won the top game in the National League against Friborg-Gottéron 6-1.
With exactly the same verdict against Freiburg, Lausanne had said goodbye to the national team recess on November 1. Coach Craig MacTavish’s team returned from quarantine 23 days later and picked up exactly where it left off.
Anyone hoping for a match higher than eye-level in Malley’s empty Patinoire quickly learned better. The LHC showed their efficient side and were already leading 6-0 in the 28th minute, so Reto Berra was not at fault in the Freiburg goal.
Six of Lausanne’s first twelve shots found their way into Freiburg’s goal. Samuel Walser still scored the consolation goal in the 52nd minute with the 41st degree of the guests. In the local team, Christoph Bertschy knew how to excel as a double scorer. For the Freiburg native, it was season numbers 6 and 7.
Although Lausanne is five games unbeaten and even leads the consumed table in the National League after losing points, Freiburg Gottéron could not hide his weakness away from home again. Coach Christian Dubé’s team came off the ice for the fourth time in a row at an unknown stadium.

Lugano – Servette 2: 0
HC Lugano once again showed their strength at home this season. Ticino celebrated their fifth victory at Resega in a 2-0 win over Genève-Servette in their sixth home game. Niklas Schlegel had a great participation in the three points won. The goalkeeper blocked Geneva’s 38 shots on target and celebrated his third shutout of the season.
The forward received a pass from Philipp Kuraschew on a power play to make it 1-0. Shortly before, Joël Vermin also had the lead on the opposite side, but the Geneva striker failed only against Schlegel. Dario Bürgler worried in the last minute with the 2-0 in the empty arc for the final score. With the fourth win in a row, Lugano topped the Servettiens on the table and is now fifth.
