ZSC Lions – Davos 5: 1
Denis Hollenstein leads the ZSC Lions almost single-handedly to a comfortable home win against Davos. The aggressive top scorer posted a hat trick and two assists, an excellent performance. Hollenstein becomes the hero of the night, but his team does not let it burn much.
HC Davos cannot find his way out of the negative spiral in Zurich either. At the Hallenstadion, troubled Graubünden players are left behind early after a lack of concentration, as is often the case in later matches. Weaknesses related to the system are not always: before Geering’s 1-0 victory, captain Andres Ambühl loses the puck in the forward movement on the opposite blue line. With the other goals, however, there is some confusion in his own zone.
After the departure of Joe Thornton, the HCD is showing a little more asshole again, which should really fuel the courage. There is no lack of esprit, attacks that are carried out quickly (first in the second section) only lack patience and precision in the end. And as always when the sticks shake, also the faith in your own abilities.
Tore: 6. Geering (Hollenstein) 1-0. 7. Hollenstein (Prassl) 2-0. 20. Krüger (Hollenstein / PP) 3: 0. 30. Frehner 3: 1. 50. Hollenstein (PP) 4: 1. 52. Hollenstein (Kruger) 5: 1.
The best: Hollenstein (Zurich). Sure, who else?
The plum: Ambühl (Davos). Disc loss before 0: 1, to 1: 4 in the fridge.

EV Zug – Lausanne 4: 1
Lausanne comes to Zug as a proud leader. Self-confidence among the Vaudois has risen in recent months as unrest and mistrust among the competition. But EVZ is prepared for the duel of the best teams in the league so far, if the average points is taken as a criterion, they want to take revenge for the 0: 3 defeat at home in the first comparison.
The players themselves take care of the energy in the empty arena. For the first crisp checks there is clapping and shouting from the bench. The EVZ takes the lead after surviving an early penalty. Top scorer Kovar puts pressure on Bertschy. Nati’s forward falls too easily and loses the puck. Then he goes fast: the Czech puts the puck in front of the goal, where Thürkauf scores.
In most, Lausanne can match through Jooris. Genoni is not to blame for this. But then the EVZ goalkeeper closes the store, even if he is lucky that the referees deny Lausanne’s second goal in the last third due to a disability of the Jooris goalkeeper after studying the video.
But before that, Zug had already set the course for victory in the game that was too punishing. In the power play. Only after scoring the first point against the Lakers, Martschini meets for the first time this season. After a good cross pass from Hofmann, he still has time to prepare the puck with his foot. Then Klingberg plows in front of the door. Senteler sinks the rebound. And the Swede Thorell can finally be credited with the first scoring point of the season. Simion made the power play treble in the center section with 4: 1.
It is a show of force from the Zugers who bring more strength, speed and precision to the ice. The EVZ topple the leader and may feel like No. 1, even if Freiburg now leads the table with four more games. (Mr)
The best: Tobias Geisser (train). Ironing for partner Díaz. Seconds later, Zug reaches the power game, which he uses to make the 2-1
The plum: Christoph Bertschy (Lausanne). You have to take the Zug door first on your hat.
The objectives: 4. Thürkauf (Kovar) 1: 0. 11. Jooris (Hudon, Barberio / PP) 1: 1. 19. Martschini (Hofmann, Kovar / PP) 2: 1. 32. Senteler (Klingberg, Thorell) 3: 1. 40. Simion (Senteler / PP) 4: 1.

Biel – Ambri 7: 1
On Friday, Biel’s coach, Lars Leuenberger, had to watch on the couch as his team struggled in vain at Davos, losing 3-2 despite many chances. Now, the 45-year-old is back after acute kidney stones. And experience a quiet night.
Ambri is extremely harmless without top scorer Julius Nättinen, who, like Biel’s Petteri Lindbohm, is with the Finnish team in the Channel One Cup.
Tino Kessler, who scored his first goal of the season at Davos, scores in just 88 seconds. With a double hit in 66 seconds, Biel made it all clear in the middle of the game. Before the 0-3 and 0-4 goals, Elia Mazzolini missed a great opportunity after Jannik Fischer already missed the crossbar.
After 0: 4, goalkeeper Damiano Ciaccio can be replaced by Viktor Östlund. The Swede with a Swiss license has to be beaten three more times. Ambri conceded two goals after captain Michael Fora, who had been fighting Mike Künzle throughout the match, finally lost to Neven and was sent to the shower after a check against Künzel’s head.
Manuel Nikolic (31) lives a moment of shock. The Innsbruck referee, who has been whistling in the National League since this season, gets between the fronts at seven minutes, falls to the ice, twists from side to side. Hard to believe: Nikolic has dislocated his shoulder, is being attended to briefly, and then continues to whistle. Chapeau!
The best – Luca Cunti (Biel): Tricky, spectacular and with a general panorama. A feast for the eyes.
plum – Elia Mazzolini (Ambri): He has the empty goal in front of him when the score is 2-0, but he cannot accept the puck. Then it rings twice on the other side.
The objectives: 2. Kessler (Points) 1: 0. 15. Moser (Fuchs, Rathgeb) 2: 0. 31. Pouliot (Fey, Stampfli) 3: 0. 32. Hügli (Cunti) 4: 0. 45. Künzle (Fuchs, Rathgeb / PP) 5: 0. 51. Flynn (Zwerger, Fora / PP) 5: 1. 55. Hofer (PP) 6: 1. 57. Hügli (Künzle, Cunti / PP) 7: 1.
SCL Tigers – Freiburg 0: 5
The objectives: 7. Gunderson 0: 1, 18. Bykow (PP) 0: 2, 43. Men 0: 3, 48. Brodin (PP) 0: 4, 58. Sprunger (PP) 0: 5.
