National League recap – Zug and Bern with out-of-control victories – sport

  • EV Zug (8: 2 against ZSC Lions) and SC Bern (6: 0 against EHC Biel) celebrate great victories in the 14th round of the National League.
  • The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers (3: 2 nV vs. Langnau) and Lausanne (3: 2 vs. Ambri) were also able to celebrate narrow victories as they did on Tuesday.
  • The match between Lugano and Davos went into extra time, where Arcobello secured the additional point for Ticino.

Train – ZSC Lions 8: 2

The ZSC Lions flopped in their 3: 6 rematch against Zug on Thursday. In their second clash with Central Switzerland, the Zurich team received a 2: 8 in 24 hours, the biggest defeat against EVZ in history. After just 6 minutes and Ryan McLeod and Sven Leuenberger’s double hit to make it 2-0, the game was predetermined. For the home team that took over the top of the table, six different shooters were found; only McLeod and Dario Simion scored twice.

The hitherto strong ZSC goalkeeper Ludovic Waeber moved on a black night. He could only stop 12 of 20 shots. The 24-year-old was very unlucky, especially at 0-3, when a panel behind the goal bounced strangely and Yannick-Lennart Albrecht was able to push into the empty goal.

Bern 6-0 Biel

SCB knocked down EHC Biel 6-0 at home in the Berne derby and celebrated their second win this week against Zeeland. But it was definitely not a one-sided game. Especially in the first two-thirds it was the guests who put the stamp on the game, but their efficiency failed.

On the other hand, Inti Pestoni (23rd), Jeremi Gerber (28th), Mika Henauer (31st) and Tristan Scherwey (34th) did better in the second third and shot the SCB 4-0 up front. There was no reaction from Biel, SCB goalkeeper Tomi Karhunen drove Biel’s offensive faction to despair. Ted Brithén (41.) and Gregory Sciaroni (52.) even secured the final score 6-0.

Rapperswil-Jona Lakers – SCL Tigers 3: 2 nV

The SCL Tigers’ revenge against Rapperswil-Jona also failed. After Tuesday’s narrow 1-0 victory, Rosenstädter were clearly the better team in the second match. Until the 24th minute and Dominic Egli’s intermittent 1-1 draw, the Lakers fought the wall called Ivars Punnenovs in the Tigers’ goal.

With the renewed first goal of Yannick Blaser (27th), Roman Cervenka managed to tie again in the second third (36th). Because the two teams were unable to score in the last third, the extension had to decide. There it was Kevin Clark who shot the Lakers to a 3-2 victory and secured the additional point.

Lausanne – Ambri 3: 2

Lausanne also won its third home game of the season in a 3-2 win against Ambri in front of 4,341 spectators. Lausanne had already won 3-2 against Leventines on Tuesday, then away and only after extra time. On Tuesday Denis Malgin scored two and Christoph Bertschy scored one goal.

Three days later they did it the other way around: Malgin put Lausanne ahead in the 32nd minute, Bertschy secured the victory with two goals. Julius Nättinen’s fourth goal of the season on mission four (57th) came too late.
