Lakers – Zug 4: 5 nV
When Nando Eggenberger put the hosts ahead for the first time in the 56th minute, the Lakers were very close to a big win against Zug. But the last word had not yet been said. With no goalkeeper and a sixth outfield player, Ryan McLeod managed 4: 4 in extra time with a distractor 19 seconds before the final siren. This was just under 2 minutes when Gregory Hofmann set off with energy, defender “Rappi” Rajan Sataric used to catch sight of Melvin Nyffeler and with a complete shot to decide the game in Zug’s favor.
For a long time it didn’t seem like the decision would only be made overtime. EVZ took the lead 2-0 at first, and then Zug’s team led 3-1. But the Lakers never gave up and were rewarded in the 47th minute with Nico Dünner’s draw.
Davos 3-2 Biel
At the Davos ice rink, it was only 43 seconds before the puck reached the finish line for the first time. Fabrice Herzog caught Biel goalkeeper Elien Paupe with a pass from Yannick Frehner. Less than 60 seconds later, HCD doubled their lead with an overpaid goal from Magnus Nygren. However, the guests quickly recovered from the cold start and tied the game with shots from Tino Kessler (8th) and Marc-Antoine Pouliot (15th) in the third outing. After a goalless mid-stage, it was finally Samuel Guerra who dusted off the slot and scored the winning match. Despite the good chances, Biel did not want to draw afterwards.
Freiburg – SCL Tigers 4: 1
Freiburg found its way back to victory after its last 3 suite losses. However, the home game against the SCL Tigers was a difficult affair for a long time. In the final third, Gottéron walked away with blows from Viktor Stalberg (43rd) and Killian Mottet (53rd) to 4: 1. The Emmentaler could no longer react. The game had started well for the guests. With a pass from new signing Marcus Nilsson, Ben Maxwell gave the Tigers a numerical advantage in the 8th minute. But Freiburg changed the game. Matthias Rossi drew first (15th), before Yannick Herren scored 2-1 (28th). Freiburg’s first two goals were also scored in a power game.
