The “bianconeri” keep their white jersey against Ambri even after the 5th season duel. Top scorer Mark Arcobello made the decision immediately before the second siren when he took advantage of a 2v1 situation. Daniele Grassi had put Ambri in the lead in the 26th minute. But Lugano benefited shortly after a double majority to even the score. Mikkel Boedker entered the scorers list with a blatant volley.
The Leventinos were very close to equalizing shortly before the end. In the end, however, it was Lugano’s Jani Lajunen who made it all clear with her empty netter. With Ambri moving to a new stadium next season, it is very likely that it was Ticino’s last derby in the time-honored Valascia.
Bern – SCL Tigers 4: 3
After the last two defeats in a row, the SCB has returned to victory. The man of the game from Bern’s perspective was Dustin Jeffrey, who scored two goals, including the winning goal to make it 3-1.
