Bern loses to Biel for the second time in a row – Lausanne beats Davos

Bern – Biel 2: 4

24 hours after the 5-3 home win, EHC Biel also won the second game against SC Bern. In Bern, Biel won 4-2 after falling 2-0 down.

The 56th minute brought luck to Biel this time. The night before, tempers had heated up at that point when Tristan Scherwey reviewed Jason Fuchs de Biel fairly, but unnecessarily. Fuchs missed the “second leg” on Tuesday. This time Tristan Scherwey sat in the Berne penalty area in the 56th minute, and Marc-Antoine Pouliot managed to make it 3-2 for most of the ‘match winners’.

62 seconds before the end, Janis Moser secured Biel’s 10th away win in the last eleven games with a shot on empty goal. For Biel, the starting position in the final month of qualifying is promising. With their sixth consecutive win, the Zeelandians climbed to fifth place for the first time this season. Before Christmas, Biel was tenth.

Lausanne – Davos 5: 3

Lausanne’s reaction to the second set of losses this season (and a month from now) was impressive. The Vaudois defeated Davos confidently and with little risk 5: 3.

Before the success over Davos, Lausanne had lost three times in a row and nine of the last twelve games. At Malley’s home arena, they even lost six of the last seven games. However, for coach Craig MacTavish, the huge performance improvement against Davos came as no surprise. The team realized that it couldn’t go on like this.

The defenders helped Lausanne out of the crisis: Joël Genazzi (1-0), Lukas Frick (2-0) and Robin Grossmann (3-0) scored the breakthrough goals in this capital’s match in the first 28 minutes. Davos came close to 3: 4 in the end, but had no chance to equalize and conceded the 3: 5 63 seconds after the subsequent goal.
