Rapperswil-Jona Lakers – SC Bern 2: 3
SC Bern has taken a step out of the crisis. After 5 losses in a row, including the most recent against the equally weak SCL Tigers, Don Nachbaur’s team beat the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 3-2.
Gaëtan Haas (after just 47 seconds) and Vincent Praplan secured an early 2-0 lead after 5 minutes. Rosenstädter arrived at 13 minutes for Lukas Lhotak to connect goal. As a result, however, both teams repeatedly lacked efficiency in the final until Bern’s Dustin Jeffrey was able to break the spell at 3-1 after 43 minutes. Marco Lehmann scored his first National League goal 6 minutes before the end, but the Lakers didn’t get any more than that.
HC Lugano – Freiburg-Gottéron 5: 4 nV
HC Lugano continues to present itself in top form. After a 6-point weekend, Ticino won again on Tuesday night, but this time they had to go through extra time. Against runner-up Friborg-Gottéron, the team winced after a 3-0 lead in the 25th minute.
After Matthias Rossi’s goal to make it 2: 3 in the 34th minute, it took Alessandro Bertaggia just 10 seconds to reestablish Lugano’s two-goal lead. Chris DiDomenico and Viktor Stalberg tied the game until 4 minutes before the end. In extra time, Lugano’s Swedish defender Tim Heed led his team to victory with a complete shot. Gottéron thus failed to jump to the top of the table.
