After Stan Wawrinka, Alexander Zverev also defeated Rafael Nadal. In the final, the German faces Daniil Medvedev.

For the second time in a row after last year’s ATP Finals group match, Alexander Zverev (ATP 7) was able to beat Rafael Nadal (ATP 2). The German won the semi-finals of the ATP 1000 tournament 6: 4, 7: 5 and is now 12 matches undefeated. On Friday, Zverev had already eliminated Stan Wawrinka.

Nadal came back in the second round after falling behind. With another breakthrough in serve, Zverev made the decision with a 6: 5 score. Zverev shortened the head-to-head against the Spaniard to 2: 5. For Nadal, Paris-Bercy remains one of two Masters 1000 events (along with Miami) who has never won in his career.

Medvedev defeats Raonic

In the final, Zverev faces Daniil Medvedev (ATP 5). For the first time since Shanghai 2019, the Russian is back in a final. He beat Milos Raonic (ATP 17) in just under 100 minutes 6: 4, 7: 6 (7: 4). Medvedev could celebrate his eighth victory in a tournament in the French capital.
