According to a report by “Weltwoche” on Saturday, the Minister of Health was asked to pay 100,000 Swiss francs due to fraudulent photos and emails.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to “Weltwoche” that they had received a criminal complaint from Federal Councilor Alain Berset in December last year on suspicion of extortion. The sanction order consists of six pages and is dated September 14, 2020.

The blackmailer opened an account at two different banks to collect the money. He let Berset know that there were third parties interested in acquiring the photos and mutual correspondence; however, the Minister of Health will be given priority if he pays the required amount.
The newspaper also writes that the woman has stated that in the event of a criminal complaint, “she will reveal the evidence” or “will put everything on the table.” He is said to have reaffirmed the threat to someone else on December 9, 2019, and promised additional accusations.
Finally, an appointment was made between this third party and the blackmailer in a pub to deliver the money. However, due to Berset’s criminal complaint, it did not come to that.
