Milan is subject to Spezia ++ Gündogan shoots at Spurs ++ Liverpool lose again
Bundesliga
Goals from Saturday’s games:
Premier league
Manchester City – Tottenham 3: 0
Ilkay Gündogan is still in great shape. The German offensive player took the penalty that led to Manchester City’s first goal and then scored two goals himself. Gündogan scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Liverpool last Sunday, and five goals in six games in January. This earned Gündogan the Premier League Player of the Month award.

Goals: 23. Rodri (foul penalty) 1-0. 50. Gündogan 2-0. 66. Gündogan 3: 0.
Leicester City – Liverpool 3: 1
Liverpool FC’s already low hopes of defending their title have fallen further. The “Reds” were beaten 1: 3 by Leicester City. For the first time since November 2014, Liverpool have lost three straight Premier League games. They are ten points behind the leader despite two more games than Manchester City. Leicester, on the other hand, have overtaken Manchester United at least until tomorrow and are in second place.
Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the advantage. Not only was the Egyptian’s blinking wonderful, especially Roberto Firmino’s play deserves the highest rating. But in seven minutes, the “Foxes” turned the game around with hits from James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes. Only when the final result was clear did Jürgen Klopp replace Swiss national player Xherdan Shaqiri in the 87th minute.

A league
Spezia – Milan 2: 0
Inter Milan can advance to the top of the Serie A table on Sunday. The condition for this is a home win against Lazio Roma. Inter would then benefit from the slippage of the city’s rivals, AC Milan. The league leaders suffered a deserved 2-0 defeat in La Spezia. The “Rossoneri”, who recently suffered injuries and crown diseases, returned to playing near their best formation for the first time in a long time. However, it was the third defeat of the season, and that before the derby against Inter in the next round.
Spezia – Milan 2: 0 (0: 0)
Tore: 56. Major 1: 0. 67. Suits 2: 0.
Naples – Juventus 1: 0
The defending champion missed the opportunity to make good ground. Juventus lost at SSC Napoli, seven and five points behind the two Milanese teams Milan and Inter. The decision was made in Naples by Lorenzo Insigne, who converted a free-kick from Giorgio Chiellini into the only goal of the match.
As Turin suffered its third defeat of the season, the striker celebrated an anniversary. Napoli’s captain Insigne, 1.63m tall, scored his 100th goal for the club. The second winner of the match was goalkeeper Alex Meret with numerous saves, especially in the second half.
Naples – Juventus Turin 1: 0 (1: 0)
Goal: Insigne 31 (penalty penalty) 1-0.
Turin – Genoa 0: 0
No Swiss, no goals, although the two potentially deployed are not known as scorers. Ricardo Rodríguez was sitting on the bench in Torino as was Valon Behrami, whose sporting highlight today was rather that his wife Lara Gut-Behrami won the bronze medal in the Downhill World Cup.
First division
Granada – Atlético Madrid 1: 2
Atlético de Madrid continues to advance towards its eleventh championship title, the first since 2014. Five days after the 2-2 draw at home against Celta de Vigo, the colchoneros returned to victory. Thanks to the success in Granada, he is eight points ahead of his great city rival, Real Madrid, and that with one game less.
