Messi meets Ronaldo, Freuler has to face Shaqiri: these are the results of the Champions League draw.
Borussia Dortmund and coach Lucien Favre do not appear to have encountered a particularly difficult group in the Champions League. The opponents in Group F are Lazio Roma, Club Bruges and, as group leaders, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Meanwhile, Champions League winners Bayern Munich will compete against Atlético de Madrid, neighboring Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow, as Nyon’s draw demonstrated. Bayern’s predecessor Liverpool will face Ajax Amsterdam, Atalanta Bergamo and Midtjylland of the YBs.
Borussia Mönchengladbach, with its large group of Swiss Legionnaires, are in first-class group games for the first time in four years. The lottery balls gave the Gladbacher two big-name opponents: Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
