Masters at Augusta – top quintet – Woods still in the race – sport

The 84th US Masters of Golfers in Augusta had a hectic Saturday morning. After the end of the second round, which was interrupted on Friday by darkness, a quintet is at the top.

Dustin Johnson (USA), Jon Rahm (Spain) and Justin Thomas (USA), number one to three in the world rankings, also entered the clubhouse with 135 strokes, as did Abraham Ancer (Mexico ) and Cameron Smith (Australia). American superstar Tiger Woods had to let go after a round of 71, but he is still in the running with 139 hits.

DeChambeau in extremis – tall man with age record

For US Open winning favorite Bryson DeChambeau, the Masters was almost over. The American only played one round of 74 after his 70 and just made the cut.

Meanwhile, Bernhard Langer set a new age record. The 63-year-old German passed last Friday as the oldest player in Masters history. The previous age record as a participant in the second half of the tournament was set by American Tommy Aaron in 2000 (63 years, one month and 16 days). Two-time Masters Langer champion is a month and a day older.
