Friborg-Gottéron are unbeaten against EHC Biel this season. With the match of the 26th round of the National League, the 4th game of the season was 3-1 against French-speaking Switzerland. Throughout the seasons, there are now 6 wins in a row for Freiburg against Biel.
Winger Killian Mottet played a key role in the success of the new runner-up. After 19 minutes he took the lead on the power play, in the 37th minute he found a pass from Ryan Gunderson after a quick combination. Mottet was named man of the game after the game.
Yannick Herren made it 2-0 after a dribble by Benoît Jecker. Biel was by no means the worst team, Freiburg was very efficient. Luca Cunti’s goal to make it 3-1 was delayed, but no longer made the game so exciting.
Lugano continues to win with confidence
Lugano had a hard time at Davos in the overtime match in the 13th round. Though considering, the puck didn’t want to hit behind HCD goalkeeper Robert Mayer for a relatively long time. Only after 25 minutes was Chiesa able to open the scoring with a full wrist shot. The deal was probably not untenable for Mayer.
And so it continued, but Ticino saved the other two goals for the final stretch. Raphael Herburger (42nd) and Jani Lajunen (46th) decided the match with goals 2-0 and 3-0. Herburger was able to benefit from a previous loss by Yannick Frehner, Lajunen from a good preparatory work by Julian Walker.
