Thailand is slowly opening its borders again, but only for long-term tourists. The conditions are special: all tourists with the so-called special tourist visa, which can be requested for stays of 30 to 90 days, must wear a GPS bracelet. Reason: The authorities always want to be able to closely monitor their movements. Around the clock!

In addition to the tracker, the tourist must also provide proof of accommodation and prove that they have medical insurance. For the extended stay, tourists must first be quarantined for two weeks in a state-approved facility. Anyone who tests positive at the airport should go to the hospital immediately.
