Despite many absences, Liverpool won the Premier League’s biggest game 3-0 against former leaders Leicester. After 9 rounds, the champions share the championship lead with Tottenham.

Xherdan Shaqiri joined the long list of Liverpool players currently injured or ill on match day. What affects the Swiss international was initially unknown. In addition to Basler, other greats such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara or Trent Alexander-Arnold were missing.

There were no signs of weakening in Liverpool against Leicester. Jürgen Klopp’s team clearly dominated and, thanks to Jonny Evans’ own goal and goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino, they achieved undeniable success.

Arsenal are only 12th after a goalless draw at Leeds United. The team surrounding manager Granit Xhaka, who returned to the starting lineup after two championship games on the bench, even had to be satisfied with the point he won with the promoted team. Leeds hit the pavement three times after Arsenal striker Nicolas Pépé saw the red card in the 52nd minute. The Ivorian was punished for a header against former Lugano player and YB youth Ezgjan Alioski.
